The Remote Caching Server provides a distributed caching solution for global enterprise implementations of the Collaboration Server.  The Remote Caching Server is installed in remote sites and provides users with faster access to documents for viewing and uploading.

Each Remote Caching Server stores copies of recently requested documents, HTML files, and linked images and resources providing faster acccess to Collaboration Server information.
